Some of the top contributors to Adam Schiff are Pro-Israel entities and the Defense sector, according to OpenSecrets.org. In contrast to his assurances that he welcomes his constituents to meet with him, Adam Schiff has been avoiding a group of his constituents who would like to discuss the Syrian crisis with him. He recently had his staff remove all of Ara Manoogian’s comments from his Facebook page and posted a comment that reads: “Reminder: as this is an official government account, no campaigning is permitted.”
On ABC TV Live with Vrej Agajanian, Johnni Achi, a member of Arab Americans for Syria group, shares information about the Syrian conflict that is largely avoided by the mainstream media.

Ara Manoogian, Harout Bronozian, and Irena Varjabedian staged a protest in front of the headquarters of the Armenian National Committee of America Western Region, in Glendale, CA, demanding the withdrawal of its endorsement of Rep. The Islamic militant group ISIS, formerly known as Al-Qaeda in Iraq, and recently rebranded as the so called Islamic State, is the stuff of nightmares. They are ruthless, fanatical, killers, on a mission, and that mission is to wipe out anyone and everyone, from any religion or belief system and to impose Shari’ah law. The mass executions, beheadings and even crucifixions that they are committing as they work towards this goal are flaunted like badges of pride, video taped and uploaded for the whole world to see. This is the new face of evil.
Please join us at Mainstage Theater/Auditorium of the Glendale Community College, on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 7 pm, for the event “Responding to the Humanitarian Crisis in Syria and Iraq.” Please visit the Facebook Event page to RSVP.
USAID has provided around $3 billion in humanitarian aid to its implementing partners in Syria with the aim of helping the Syrian people. A lot of that aid found its way into the hands of al Qaeda and ISISI/ISIL fighters. We will be discussing how Americans can help the civilians of Syria by guiding the U.S. government and congressional representatives to make wiser decisions about U.S. aid distribution so that it does not fall into the hands of terrorists who perpetuate the war and suffering in Syria, Iraq and the surrounding countries.
Please feel free to share the flyer with any other organizations or individuals you think might find this event beneficial and interesting. For more information, please see Fact Sheet About Rep. Adam Schiff: Crisis in Syria and Middle East
As a senior member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, which is charged with the oversight of the U.S. Intelligence Community, Congressman Adam Schiff shares the responsibility for erroneous intelligence that has dragged the U.S. into numerous military interventions in the Middle East and surrounding areas.
On Sept. 17, 2014, Congressman Adam Schiff authorized the Secretary of Defense to provide training, equipment, supplies, and other assistance to “appropriately vetted” Syrian opposition groups and individuals for the following purposes:
• To defend the Syrian people from attacks by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL)
• To protect the United States, its allies, and the Syrian people from terrorist threats in Syria; and
• To promote the conditions for a negotiated settlement to end the conflict in Syria)
After a visit to Syria, Adam Schiff announced, on Washington Journal, on Feb. 17, 2005, that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad was not a ‘positive presence’ in the Middle East. Today, the moderate Syrian opposition, for Schiff, appears to be a tool in harmony with his animosity and desire of overthrowing the democratically elected president of a sovereign nation. Despite ample evidence that it was the jihadists, with Turkey’s help, who used sarin gas against civilians in Syria to put the blame on Assad and, thus, cause U.S. military intervention in Syria (See “The Red Line and the Rat Line“ by Pulitzer-prize winning journalist Seymour M. Hersh, Apr. 17, 2014), Schiff continues accusing the Syrian president of ‘gassing his own people’ (“Intel Dem: Airstrike in Syria Won‘t Work,” Sept. 5, 2014)

In October 2013, Human Rights Watch (HRW) published a report titled “You Can Still See Their Blood” that documented the atrocities committed by extremist groups, such as the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) and Jaish al-Muhajireen wal-Ansar, against civilians in Latakia, Syria.
WASHINGTON — With reports indicating that forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar Assad are gaining ground in that country’s brutal civil war, moderate Syrian rebels have told a visiting journalist that the United States is arranging their training in Qatar.

“I do not want to mention my name,” says a 20-year-old FSA fighter, “because the camp we practiced in was highly classified.”
So classified, in fact, that the CIA – who are rumoured to be running the camp (but declined to comment for this article) – still won’t acknowledge it exists.
For nearly a year, rumours have swirled about a covert, US-run training camp for FSA fighters in the vast Jordanian desert. (Jordanian intelligence also did not respond to requests for comment on this article.) And, last week, it was reported that the Obama administration appears to be expanding “its covert programme of training and assistance for the Syrian opposition”. However, despite all this speculation, little is known about how this supposed Jordanian camp works, who trains there and what tactics they learn.

A growing number of Syrian Christian leaders are traveling to the United States to plead with lawmakers to stop sending arms to the rebels. The most recent visitor is the Patriarch of the Church of Antioch, His Beatitude Gregorios III, who is based in Damascus.
For the first three years of the civil war, Syria’s Christian leaders have not been frequent visitors to the U.S., in part fearing reprisals when they return to Syria, but also because they have been reluctant to engage in what they see as political issues.
Anti-War activists of Los Angeles in cooperation with the Arab-Americans for Syria invite you to hear Mother Agnes-Mariam of the Cross speak on What Really is Happening in Syria Today. Mark your calendars to attend three events featuring Mother Agnes, in the Greater Los Angeles area, on May 4, 2013. (See below)
Community Forum on “United States Involvement in the Syrian Crisis” dedicated to the situation in Syria took place on Friday April 18 from 7-9 PM at the Glendale Public library. The event was attended by close to 100 people.
Congressman Adam Schiff was invited to speak at “100 Years Later: The Shared Reflections of Two Communities,” a commemoration of the centennial of the Armenian Genocide, presented by the American Jewish Committee and the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church on Sunday, March 22, 2015, at Western Diocese of the Armenian Church Nazareth & Sima Kalaydjian Hall 3325 N. Glenoaks Blvd., Burbank, CA 91504.
On October 23, 2014, the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) reaffirmed its endorsement of Adam Schiff, the incumbent House Representative. He is running in the California 28th District, where an estimated 23% of the registered voters are Armenian, and the ANCA claims it is entitled to ‘throw community’s electoral support behind U.S. House and Senate candidates with proven track records on Armenian American Issues.’ (see: http://www.anca.org/press_releases/press_releases.php?prid=2390).
Although the ANCA gives Adam Schiff an “A+” score for his ‘proven track record on Armenian American issues,’ it neglected to score his track record on issues regarding his support of the Syrian “moderate” opposition infested with al Qaeda and ISIS/ISIL, which have caused the death of hundreds of thousands of civilians, including Armenians in Syria.
For these reasons, we, the people of the 28th District, are asking for the immediate withdrawal of the ANCA’s endorsement of Adam Schiff. We strongly believe that it is not only wrong, but also unethical and immoral for the ANCA to ‘throw community’s electoral support’ behind a man who has put the lives of that very community’s brothers and sisters at stake in Syria by backing forces that have caused death, destruction of property and displacement of scores of civilians all over Syria.
A peaceful protest will take place on Tuesday, October 28, at 2 p.m. in front of the ANCA-WR office which is located at 104 N. Belmont St., Glendale 91206. A delegation will hand deliver a letter of protest to the ANCA. Please RSVP at https://www.facebook.com/events/863824850314813/. Please join us and make your voice heard!
